New Bill Will Limit Use of Recalled Vehciles
Recently, Senator Chuck Schumer has introduced a bill to stop the use of automobiles that are under recall by rental car agencies. The car rental industry responded by suggesting the creation of a two tiered system. The first tier involves those cars in which the recall is for serious safety issues which will call for the immediate fix of the vehicle. The second tier are for rental cars under less serious recalls which will require the rental car company to fix them as soon as possible. Senator Schumer bill was introduced after several serious car accidents involving rental cars that were under recall but were not fixed.
